simply put. If you are a christian you know what the bible says about it. you can believe or not. But stop with the "that's how God me"
Well as a lot of you put it. He did make the rapist and murderers to. I'm sure they will say the same thing. "that's how God made me. Believe what you like, but don't say it biblical when it's not. You're just trying to make yourselves feel better. Support each other yes, but don't lie about God'

Hello everyone! PRAISE GOD! I came here for comfort and boy did I get it! It has been a YEAR since I made this post and I can't believe people are still commenting on it! Obviously, all of us were in DESPERATE need of a safe, non-judgemental space where we could openly begin talking about faith and bisexuality. I thank God that this post is still going strong because obviously there is a need for a protected space to host such a discussion. There have been SO many ups and downs in my "coming out" process over the last year. My family is now aware of it, which makes me so relieved, because I wanted to be honest. My sister is 17 and was involved with GSA at her school way before I came out. Her response was "Hey people are people and people are hot. Just be safe. Be smart. Don't do stupid things. Want some popcorn?" My dad knows, but he confuses me. One minute he tells me he loves me and knows that I'm still a Christian. Once, he even said I should just be safe and be monogamous. Other times, he says that God would still love me, but I'd be living in sin. I don't fully get it. I think he's still slightly confused about bisexuality and what it means for me. I don't know. Like last night, we (sister & dad) were having a conversation about raising children and I said I was going to be honest with my kids about my role in the LGBT community/my bisexuality, but that I also wanted to raise them as Christians. And Dad goes , "So when your kids come to you and say "Mom, the Bible doesn't match up with what you've said about being bi." What are you going to tell them." I was at a loss. Not because I didn't have an answer. But when it comes to things like this, I have so many thoughts and feelings that I write about it better than I converse about it face-to-face. Honestly, I know that Jesus fulfilled the full letter of Old Testament law when He paid for my sins at the cross. So we (Christians) no longer have to live under the Old Covenant of the Old Testament. The Old Testament is still important in terms of biblical history and context however. Every church I've ever been a part of has taught that accepting Christ as Savior is something that is permanent. The moment you repent and accept Him, you are saved and on your way to Heaven. Salvation has no bearing on who a person is physically/romantically/sexually attracted to. Salvation is about coming to God honestly and believing simply that He is and that you're in desperate need of Him. I hope this post makes sense. I have been raised and told by many that you can't be gay and a christian. I am not becoming a pastor and I am bi. I also haven't told anyone really and probably never will unless somethings change in my denomination. I am not sure if I will even tell my mom or other members of my family because well like yours they are against it. But I know this one thing for sure God loves us all for who we are because he made us in his image.
