That's a tough spot indeed. I lived that life for many, many years. Problem was, I had a lot of people I hung out with, a lot of people that called my house their gathering place. There was always at least ten or more people at my house. But I would go to bed, with ten people in the living room, and cry myself to sleep because I was so lonely. There was even a lot of times I would get in bed, then have someone come and crawl in bed with me, and I would still cry myself to sleep, with him/her in bed with me, because they were not interested in me romantically, and a lot of them didn't even want to be my friend. They were just friends with other people that called themself my friend. Most of them were "friends" with me because I had a lot of money, and a house, and a car, and I was very generous when it came to my friends. But, without the money, car, or house, I would have been all alone. I knew that, I knew I was buying friends so I didn't have to do things alone. Several times I paid all expenses for someone to go on a trip with me, whether it was just a couple hours away to a bar, or a week long vacation. I could not stand to not have a "friend" with me, due to some anxiety disorders, so I paid, I spent money, I bought souvenirs for people, so they would go with me. I decided I had, had enough, and the money stopped, and so did the people that used to hang out at my house.

I hate you feel this way, because I know how bad it feels. If you ever want, send me a pm, and I'll give you my email and we can communicate, you still won't have anyone with you, but you won' be alone anymore.

Did you eventually find real friendship or romance?

Wish I knew how to find someone special. Or even close friends. I communicate well with people. Part of my job as a veterinarian. But seems like people don't show interest in being close friends. And certainly not date me.
How do out bisexuals find someone? Esp male bisexuals. There is so much stereotyping and lack of acceptance (certainly in terms of dating).

It seems to me that most Bisexuals feel and have or are going through the same time. Some people call it a curse. Sometimes I wish I was just gay and only liked men. But that is not the case with me. Be bisexual is extremely complicated for ones self and their partner. One think I have tried is looking into all the bisexual meet groups that are on the net or on apps. I have met several individuals like myself in the same situation. But like I said, being a bisexual and how complicated it is, the relationship did not work. But the few men that I did meet and were able to be intimate with for a very short time was incredible. To truly be able to share yourself and be who you are with at person was just incredible. Of course being bisexual, the other half of me told me it was not right and I could never live with a man. That is the struggle of being Bi. In closing, don't be afraid of exploring opportunities to be with a man. Take a chance. A one night stand might develop into something special. Good Luck

I think I might be bisexual. But have no real friends. I've had just as many sexual encounters with men as I have with women. Is this something I should explore in therapy? I don't know. It's tough being attracted to everything at once. Can anyone give me any pointers?

To Goatee76, therapy might help. If you do, seek out one experienced with bisexuality and recognizes it exists.
Also, check to see if there are any bisexual support groups, like through a local LGBT Community Center. If there is nothing there, you can check meetup.com. Just be aware, anyone can start their own meetup group. Some are better than others.

Lately, I have been debating on whether to continue to try to find dates/romance or if it is time to stop. Everyone has experienced rejections. But I have had no successes. As I said before, people do not see me romantically. It can really hurt to only experience rejections, disappointments, and peoples' total lack of interest. With no successes. For decades.
But if I quit, that's it. Because people do not ask me out on dates or even as friends (other than a few exceptions).

Been trying to meet people and such. Like via meetup.com groups and such. I lead a bisexual meetup grp for social interaction and support. Seems like I can't even find friends. Not true friends. People appreciate my leadership of the group and such, but they don't want to date me me or hang outside the group as friends.
More disappointments, rejections, and lack of interest from people with regards to romance.
Feel sad and heartbroken from situation. Feels so hopeless. I try different things, but it is like I always hit a brick wall.

I think so many of us can truly empathize and relate to all that you are saying. I think I'm Bi too, or at least I have experimented enough, and been open enough, to wind up where I am at now. You are in a much different place in your journey than I am, and I give you much credit and support to lead the bi support group like you do. Not everyone could do that; but you help and support others, which is great. It has been hard for me to find someone special, even just a friend. I even have weak family ties. But I do good on my job. I'm sometimes an exercisholic, I try to work out 3-5 times per week and jog 30 miles a week. Yes for health, but also to be attractive, if I'm honest. But even the exercise and good job is not totally bringing about any change. But I'm working on me, and that's a good thing. I'm enjoying my own company. I'm guessing you have pets? I think if I had a pet or two, I would jump over the moon lol. But I can't have pets at this time. Keep being open, keep making connections, and continue building yourself up. Things will change, one way or another, they always do. But continue preparing for the future.

I understand how u feel. I do everything alone too. I don't mind that so much but everyone tries to make me feel like it's a bad thing. At least everyone around here. I have had connections and it just seems like they always end badly. I think I have only one person withwhich I am still friends after everything and we really don't even talk that much. It's very disheartening and makes me wonder if I ever really want to connect in these ways again yet I am beginning to feel a void like before so idk.

So sick of always being alone, but at this point doesn't look like it will change. I would want a good relationship (especially with regards to romance), as much as I want that, I can't see it. Too many years of nothing working in my attempts. People don't see me romantically as a whole. And being so out at 44 makes it even harder.

Had more of getting my hopes up a little only to have them stomped on, as usual. Exchanged emails with a new member of the bi grp I run. Have a lot in common. She is cute etc. But since I am leader and the group is not a "dating site," I have to be careful. Members can date but it is designed to be a safe place for people. So as leader, the only way I could date a member is if it was so obvious we clicked etc. Most don't see me romantically (it is hard to tell if a person is interested or just being nice). Anyways, I thought/hoped there was a small chance she liked me. I knew it was unlikely for several reasons.
Unfortunately, she is not interested. I didn't ask her out. But her telling me what she is looking for and not looking for. I am a nice guy, and she admitted she is not attracted to nice guys.
I have 2 Huge strikes against me dating wise. I am a Bisexual man and a nice guy who tries to treat people the way I want to be treated.
After a lifetime of nothing good romantically, I feel pretty much no hope of finding romance in my life.
And since I am not into the 1 night stand thing, the only sex I get is alone. Feel really sad, heartbroken right now. Feel no real hope of romance in my life.
