I was overjoyed to hear of this man's exposure in the media. I have long maintained there are just as many radical "Christians" in this country as there are radical Muslims in others. I wish the media would give them more coverage, then maybe people would wake the fuck up and realize that most Muslims are like everybody else, and not to be feared or mistrusted based simply upon their choice of religion. It's a fringe group of Muslims consisting of a small percentage of militants who have been made out by the media to represent all Muslims. Does nobody remember the prayers and vigils held in Mecca the day after 9/11? Does nobody remember the sea of Muslims in the streets of Tehran carrying candles and openly weeping? Does nobody realize there were hundreds of Muslims killed on 9/11?

Newsflash: Islam believes in the God of Abraham, who is the very same God that is prayed to by both Jews and Christians.

One other thing ... If all Muslims were militants, the world would probably look like it did back in the 16th and 17th centuries, where large portions of three continents were under Muslim rule, including all of southern Europe from Italy's major sea ports to the Atlantic coasts of Portugal and Spain, north to Belgrade in Hungaria.

Thanks Z. It just makes me wonder. I dropped out of college after a semester and a half. Thanks to a combination of ECT, Lamictal, and the general effects of Type 1 Bipolar, my memory is kinda fucked, but what is the excuse for the media? When will they drag their heads out of their collective asses? Has the media replaced the church as the arbiter of social truth and morality?
