just sitting here stressing over money, gifts, time, relatives I don't want to see, the dog has a urinary tract infection, have to find a restaurant that is open on Christmas day, making sure employees show up on the holiday, keeping the dogs happy when out of the house so they don't tear up the packages.
raindrops on roses and warm woolen mittens ..... these are a few of my favorite things! (BS)
So how is your Christmas going?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

It was the best of times and the worst of times..........who said that? Christmas is surely that definition. Being older now, I can take all this with a grain of salt , but I worry about the kids.
Looking forward to the New Year!! Merry Christmas!
it'll be over soon is all i can say!
my Christmas is simple as heck...i might go to my best friend's house if she has the energy to come and get me(i have no car)...she and her husband just moved for the 2nd time in 5 months and are both very ill...
if she doesn't feel like it, that's ok...like you, i'll probably take myself down the street to the diner..won't cost too much in cab fare and they are serving a turkey dinner are are open 24/7...
i'll definitely talk to my friend, be online, wishing others a Merry Christmas...i think i'll be ok with it...of course, its still 2 days away, so that could change! ha! i hope to hell i don't go all nostalgic on myself...i don't need to do that for my own mental health.
((((((Hugs))))))
I'm hanging on by my fingernails (and unlike dd, I do not HAVE gorgeous, long talons!!!!)
I'm living moment to moment and just trying to keep it in my head that sooner or later, for better or for worse, all of this will be over!!!!
Yowtch!!! I'm so sorry about your poor doggie!!!! I hope he or she feels better soon!!!!
Merry Christmas, Ho, Ho, Ho!!!!!!
Or Bah, Humbug!!!!!
(Take your choice!!!!)

I hope your Christmas settles down into a drama free day

I really do not like to come home. He is a Bully, mean, and has to have everything "HIS" way.
He tells me I look and sound good! Hell he has no clue!! I have thoughts and insanity is a "step" away. All my siblings are in the same boat but one? Will I make it to the Friday after Christmas?????
My only Life boat is that my live in Girlfriend came with me.
I am so sorry about your dogs. I hope they get well ASAP!!
I gave up giving presents for the most part, years ago. Emily Post & Miss manors say "A gift is ALWAYS optional." The best present you can ever give anyone is your love and attention. And I feel like Scrooge, not wanting to give to charity, and question my greed Vs. my generousity.
Of course, I am worn out, and it's easy to blame X-mas. I bet if it wasn't X-mas time, I would just be mad & sad about any other thing. The cold. Whatever.
Personally I think X-mas is the most maudlin of all holidays and it's hard for me to not get too morose. "Until then, we'll have to muddle through somehow" -- That's the truth.
It was Dickens who said it, but he was talking about the time just before the French Revolution, not X-mas.
He wrote a whole other book about Christmas. ( :
I hope your pooch will heal soon... That's nasty..
