A part of me is terrified of going on meds. It's like once I'm on them this illness will be really real, there'll be no denying it, no pretending, I'll have constant daily reminders that I am sick. And it makes me feel so weak. I've kinda been getting pissed and wondering why I have to be so messed up that it's going to take drugs to make me function like a healthy human being. Why can't I just be happy without taking a pill? Why can't I be the regular kind of sad without having to take a pill to make sure I don't get so depressed I kill myself? Why do I need drugs to tell my brain to stop conjuring up things that aren't there? Why??? I think I'm finally having my 'why me' moment. I was wondering when that would come.
Iam... Bitter and moping.

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

Big hugs!!
What made me think of it differently is knowing that I can't stop myself from trying to commit suicide sometimes, and that it makes it so much easier to not feel so bad. I feel like I'm a stronger person by making the decision to find a combination of meds that works for me and to take them regularly, because in doing that, I'm doing what I can to take control of my moods and of my life. When I take my pills, it's just another part of my daily routine, like bayrabbit said.
Now, I see medicating myself as treating the imbalance of chemicals and misfiring neurons in my brain. I also have a second condition (Interstitial Cystitis) for which I take some of the same meds! I have come to see BP as neurobiological - the emotional is my mind's interpretation of what the heck is going on in that brain of mine!
I do so hope you find meds that work for you! It CAN BE the difference between life and death! And we CHOOSE LIFE!
