working on disability?

I was curious if anyone knows how much part-time you can work while on disability.. I know it might not be smart for me because I just got out of the hospital 2 weeks ago, but I need to get out of the house and this part time position is a very simple warehouse job.

Does anyone know?

Here on Long islnd, new york, you can earn up to 900 bucks.

It depends on what your monthly benefit is ....contact your local SS Office, they can tell you the exact GROSS amount you may earn, before losing benefits

In Canada we have different rules than you do. CCP encourages people to try and enter the work force , even part time, but my work disability does not. I have both, but when I tried to figure out if I should try to go back in a good stage, the human resources worker told me they did not want me back, between the bipolar and the RA, so enjoy disability till retirement. Hope that you can get out of the house.

What about a volunteer job? There are a million organizations begging for help, and they don't have to be working with people, either. Filing bags at the Food Bank (do they have those in the US?) or doing other work. Good for you trying to do this positive thing.

I have looked into volunteering there is really not that much here...
See there is a New Amazon.com warehouse opening in the town next to mine and they hare having a lot of part time positions. It would be low stress I think I will see heck they might not even hire me.. lol.. I will know in a couple months after they start up..
