Sorry I don't have any coping skills, just want to point out that working from home can be just as stressful as any job. And I'll be watching the thread for coping skills myself :-)
I have my own business that is based out of my home. I deal with limited people at a time. The most important thing I have learned is that if I am doing the best job I can, I am not responsible for the behavior of others. Because it is my business, I can walk away.
I have also learned that I NEED to destress after working if it has caused stress for me. I cant just go on with my life as if I am not stressed. I usually make time for exercise and meditation on a regular basis because I cant stand taking anxiety pills.
It is important to feel good about yourself and know your strengths and weaknesses. Dont allow others to play on your weaknesses. It is even more stressful if you work with family members because we tend to "take on" their weaknesses and make them our own. In turn, this causes even more stress than the job is worth.
I also make a point to only work three days a week and only 6 or less hours each day. I know that is my limit.
I did find in the beginning it was much more stressful getting started and as time went on and I adjusted and identified what was best for me in the job, it got much easier.
I wish you luck and hope that you can work through the stress of your new business. Hugs
I do hope it gets better for you soon, I know you were excited about it.
