I'm wondering if I should go back into the hospital again the one here is a horrible place, I've gone through so many med changes lately and it seems to me that i'm more screwed up that when I started. I don't want to hurt anyone just don't want to live anymore. My experience tells me that going in won't make that any better. It would just make my familly more confused. But I really need something to change, I'm not sleeping and my paranoia is getting out of hand. When do you know it's time.

Med changes are Hell...sometimes we can handle the changes ok at home..other times ,a hospital stay would be best.

NOTE: it takes an average of 7 years to find the right med combo.

I went to the hospital when I wanted to be dead and was thinking of ways to kill myself, not caring if my 11-year-old son found me. That's when I knew.

Maybe if you could go to a different hospital this time, you'd have more effective treatment.

Why would this confuse your family more?

Just a sidenote, when I was in the hospital, they had my family come up for group/family therapy. Is that possible?

I would suggest calling your DR rite away. Keep taking your meds, some take weeks to kick in. Mabey you need a few changes, I havent found my working combo yet but dont give up..Hang in there and try to keep telling yourself that it is just the BIPOLOR trying to take over and you can fight it till things like this passes..

I got to the hospital when I hurt myself. My pdoc is really good he will work withme weekly, bi-weekly, monthly you ge thte picture and is only a phone call away. They ise a partial day program here to prevent you from going into the hospitial also. Hospitial visits are expensive I would try all your resources first unless you are going to hurt yourself then by all means go. Med chanages can last a while you have to be patient. If you think you should be in hospital, then the chances are you should be in hospital. Can you present to your local emergency department and have yourself admitted through there?
