Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

i'm currently undergoing a diagnosis of bipolar, along with potentially emotionally unstable personality disorder, too. my psychiatrist says i have 'a little bit of both' at present, so i'm not even 100% sure what's going on with me right now.
all i know is that every single day i feel like i'm at war. i've been put on olanzapine but the doctors won't increase it until i have an 100% clear cut diagnosis. i don't want to do this anymore. i feel lost, alone, and afraid. i don't feel like i'll ever get better. i miss my hypomanic phases because i've been in a depressive one for a while now. i know they aren't 'good', but at least i don't feel so low.
i broke up with my long-term girlfriend 2 weeks ago and i miss her. i can't work at the moment and my employer wants medical reports from my gp and my psychiatrist. i'm really frightened i am going to lose my job and be unable to afford my rent or bills anymore.
i feel totally lost and i don't know what to do. i feel suicidal so much at the moment and i genuinely can't see another way out of having to live this way. :( please help.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

are you in the UK by any chance?
Fish is right on the nail. I hope you can get a definitive diagnosis so you know where to go from here. Unfortunately patience is needed to find the right medication too. Again most of us have gone through that.
Does the olanzapine help at all?
