Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. Married or not? Yes, 37 years!
Live alone or not? LIve with hubby.
Kids or not? 4 grown, 5 small grandchildren, who are the joys of my life!
Pets or not? My cat died last year, and he won’t let me replace her. Mainly because he has to do all the work. I am too disabled to do much but pet her and let her purr on my lap. I sure miss her! Not any cat, but Jasmine, the most obedient cat you could ever meet. Truly!
Weight? 55 lbs to lose! I started on my diet 2 days before New Year’s just to get the feel of it. I input everything on MyFitnessPal, it gives the calories you eat, and if you exercise, the calories you burn. I only gain weight on prednisone. I was on it for 2 years, gained a lot. Then, last year I got off in January, last year, lost about 15 lbs by summer, and I was feeling good. We had terrible forest fires in BC, starting the end of July, and I am allergic to smoke. I woke up one night with a terrible asthma attack, which was the night the smoke rolled in. I had to stay on prednisone for 2 months, gained all the weight back. Sigh!
We should start a weight loss group. Or, if anyone wants to get on MyFitnessPalm, we can encourage one another. Send me a pm, and I’ll get my information so we can “friend:” each other. PS. MFP is mostly for losing weight, DS is better for actual socializing. Yep, DS is better!

also have a wasband - divorced and Yay! go hand in hand - that says it all. Three beautiful children who thankfully have left the nest and I am FREE - another Yay - am a little ebullient at the moment on that one as my middly child had moved back home for the past year and finally moved out a few weeks ago returning my peace and sanity to me. also ha ha but Yay.
Living alone, a wonderful way to be, you put something down and it damn well stays there until you come back to it - amazing - no fairies, no goblins, no ghosts, no nothing comes along to magically disappear it - it stays where it is supposed to. brilliant.
I now have a pet inherited from my son. Her name is Mo and she's a very well behaved (she danced for me tonight!) little fox terrier. she sleeps on my bed and is just too damn cute. have to get her spayed as soon as, because if she goes into heat i will quietly have a nervous breakdown. phonecall has to be made to vet tomorrow (has to be made!!!).
lost my ability to write anything about a year or more ago for the first time since i was about 14yrs old and have pretty much lost confidence as a chef also.
I got up, took the dog for a short walk, had a (much needed) bath, washed my hair and cooked dinner for a friend I hadn't seen for over a year. so major accomplishments today. I hadn't eaten a dinned since god knows when so it was good to have some proper food and there's enough for tomorrow too.
phew. I'll stop now gina, I guess we've caught up for now. lol
