That's a hard one. My mind runs in circles with negitive thinking and it effects me at my job most of all. I get parinoid that I am going to get fired and end up getting fired because I was so parinoid about it. Try xanex. It will help you feel better about all those bad situations you feel you are in. It's not a solution but it will help you get through the hard times.

I know what u mean i am feeling that way right now. I try to do something that takes my mind off the negativity.

well, I was just informed that I won't get my kids until tomorrow, so now I have another free day. I think I'll order out for lunch and watch a movie. There's nothing good to watch here though. I need to go and get one.

I read or watch a movie anything that keeps me attached so I don't think. It is good to get away even if it is just from your own head.

abilify helps me.

i go thru bouts of this.. either racing random thoughts... or horrid looping thoughts. started on depakote and it helps act like a filter for me. granted, they still come in, but they don't seem to linger as long. when they do start to annoy me.. i just take an ativan or two.

My new tdoc told me to concentrate on breathing deeply and slowly. Then after about 5 minutes I need to acknowledge my thoughts.

I do this verbally if I am someplace and can't write. Otherwise I write it down.

Like I would say I am thinking about killing my brotherinlaw for whatever reason. I am withdrawing from the world. I am depressed.

Then breathe some more? I have no idea how good this works, I only did it once and it was helpful.

i gave my mind total controll years ago. had to kill a big part of me to do it,but in the long run... it did no good

Its one of the hardest things I've ever had to face. Unfortunately, the only thing that helps me is my husband. All he has to do is hold me and usually that helps quite most things but other than that...there is no way to stop my head. And other than that....it doesnt always help. =( kinda a toss up.

i just try to remind myself to think positive and if that doesnt work...a good book or movie...I dont know it is hard sometimes to get rid of negative thoughts...
