Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I wish you luck with the decision though. It's not an easy one to make.
Then I crashed and burned. I am really glad I had kept him.
-She had no control over the sessions
-She had no plan and we never determined an end goal.
-She was one of those, how are you feeling today types, flying by the seat of her pants kind of sessions
-She had no idea what she was dealing with and didn't realize she was over her head.
- I could easily manipulate her
- Double booked me or just didn't show up for appts.
I never talked to her because by time someone with competence got a hold of me, I was hospitalized. After I got out, I never came back.
If you were happy with her initially and made good progress and you have addressed all your hurts and concerns, perhaps you are ready to fly solo and stop all therapy.
If the idea of doing that doesn't suit you, take the reasons why and talk about them to your therapist. If you still get nothing out of it, ask her to refer you to someone else.
Good luck!!! I hope you find what's best for you!!! (((((Hugs)))))
