When do you draw the line??? Last night I got like maybe 2 hours of sleep. I was dreaming badly when something bit me a flea, a mosquito, or a spider. I then went straight into hallucination nightmare, and thought I saw a snake at the foot of my bed and the cat hissing at it.....I do believe all the cats were outside last night. I do believe what I saw was my mind playing games.....oh what horrible games bipolar plays or whatever the hell this is....well to make a long story short.....I could not get back to sleep......The pdoc has already been called. I am done with this shit....It\'s been two days and paranoia is still running rampant only worse. I didn\'t want to wake up this morning it\'s that bad. I just wanted to shut the tv screen off forever if you get my drift. Just wondering.....when does paranoia become psychosis and when do you draw the line???

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

If you can, have someone drive you to the appointment, take a cab, whatever. If your thoughts are that much out of control, you could be a danger to others or yourself by driving alone.
Be safe. Check in again when you know more.

I think paranoia is defined as a psychotic state, but it\'s much watered down in common language...
as you say, you have a call in to the pdoc, describe it to them and they\'ll give you a more definative opinion
(((hugs))) I hope you can get in touch with the doc today and figure this out!
They are common among the recently bereaved and are often thought of as being "visitations" from departed loved ones.
So all in all I would say they are a very different experience, much more "real" than nightmares.
Mania induced hallucinations probably feel different again.
