I don't believe in medication and for me, lessi s more - but I can tell you - in his case it has been a pure miracle having him on medication.

But whether or not you chose that method, and a therapist who practises it, therapy per se is definitely the go.
I also agree with mgs1 that we gotta persist with psychiatrists, meds and diagnoses. Seldom does the the right mix of all three come our way early in our journey, even though we desperately wish they would.
And I know you've probably heard this before, but you are your own person and in the final analysis, you are NOT accountable to your family if they are judging you. But it is a hard journey I know. I'm 43 and I'm really only getting my position on my family dynamics sorted out. But again, that's something you can talk about in therapy.

It's a real shame your family are not supportive, maybe in time they will begin to understand a little of what you are going through.
