Re-sizing !

my mom uses peculiar terminology for things, and it drives me crazy... like dress pants are "slacks"... for some reason that word just grates on my nerves. she also calls capris "clamdiggers" (which always sounds dirty to me) or "pedal pushers". those two crack me up. can you tell she's been talking about the bargains she's been getting lately?

Gahh that word annoys me. Ointment too.

The typical 'offensive' words don't bother me.

Mostly I detest the shortcuts people use for certain words...

such as 'prego' or 'preggers' for pregnant

'nast' for nasty

'delish' for delicious

........................ that sort of thing.

Oh and 'beast', when used as a substitute for 'awesome'. Eww. One of my boys learned it in middle school -- it makes me want to slap someone.

I don't like racial slurs, nor religious ones. Nor sexually inappropriate content!

Like ephemeraly, I don't mind the typical "filthy" language......I sometimes find it hilarious and almost endearing, depending on the context and really who's saying it, I suppose. I, personally, don't really swear a whole lot, but I don't mind hearing it at all.

I also can't stand shortened words like delish or Micky-D's, or silly words like that.

I absolutely can't stand any type of racial slur. I can't even say it......OR taking the Lord's name in vain. Just can't say it.

And just to clarify... the 'offensive' words only bother me when ignorant people use them.
