Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
If other people want to do things that benefit them....but not you then don't continue on that line.
Always for the improvement and progress of YOUR life first.
Be true to yourself first and foremost-
I'd like to see you have even more hope or at least hang on to every bit you've got, rather than abandon it!!!!
Maybe it's just all a matter of semantics!!! Being a realist doesn't have to mean abandoning all hope!!!!
But it probably does include a good dose of acceptance!!!
It may very well be true that you won't get what you want, if what you want is unrealistic.
But I think it's just a natural and healthy part of being human to hope that things will be better, or at least that the possibility of that exists!!!
I think you're right in your own estimation of yourself that came up in a post yesterday or the day before.
The subject may have been 'negativity' -- I can't exactly remember.
Just as some people are naturally optimistic and upbeat, others are naturally pessimistic and tend to be a bit less hopeful about how things will turn out.
You may fall into the latter category.
I'm all for you being as hopeful as you possibly can!!! But maybe you'll have to lower your sights a little bit on what it is you are hoping for!!!
Hoping for unrealistic things is just setting ourselves up for disappointment.
But It's the fool who DOESN'T keep hope alive!!!
I know that sometimes our mental illnesses makes us feel hopeless and it's really hard to hang onto it at those times, but do the best you can to keep that little flame of hope alive!!!
Life without any hope isn't really living. It's just a sad, dreary existence.
I hope you choose hope!!!! (((((Hugs)))))
