I've only ever been on lorazepam (Ativan), and it's very good for my anxiety/agitation

Clonazapam.....stays in ur system longer than ativan.

Everyone is different. I've had luck with Ativan.

They gave me heart irregularity ,palpitation s

I switched to Alprazalam { generic Xanax} and I don't have these problems anymore.

I am allowed up to 4 a day.

I usually only take 2 , maybe 3 a day

Temazepam & lorazepam are the only ones that work for me but everyone is different. I don't take them very often as I don't want to become addicted to them.

5-10mg of diazepam...less is more I find so I take it sparingly. It helps with (for me) depression and anxiety and has done so at this dosage for well over a decade. Just one more reason I see myself as one of the more fortunate.

well I can only compare it to diazepam / valium as that's the only comparison I have...... ativan is quick acting... I can feel it in about 30 mins.... and it works on a number of things - anxiety... agitation... and it can actually calm me when I am h'manic and heading for mania.. I take 2-3mg in those cases.... well 2mg is my normal dose.... but I try not to take it too often as it is addictive and I've been there before with the valium and don't want to go back there again

Xanax makes me cry.

Klonopin is long acting and allows me to go about my life.

Xanax is fast acting usually within 30 minutes. It wears off quicker, too.

Valium is somewhere in the middle but the doctors around here don't want to prescribe it much.

As long as the smallest dose of Klonopin is working for me (about eight years), that would be the best for me.

It's going to depend on why you need to take it.

exercise and diet if you're worried about becoming a pill-popping addict.

Exercise and diet is not going to cure a real panic attack. Sorry but being a pill popping addict is not the worst thing that can happen to you.

I have Panic Disorder so I have to pop these pills or I am in full blown panic mode. exercise and diet does help but it don't cure Panic Disorder. Sorry wish it could.

Klonopin works great for anxiety and I can still function, but it causes rebound anxiety horribly terribly awful for me.

Xanax knocks me out more but I don't find it to be addicting and it really puts me in the fog I'm sometimes looking for.

Don't like Ativan - knocks me out cold and I'd rather just take an Ambien to sleep cuz the next day I'm not dead to the world.
