I dx'd myself as BP and the intake therapist put it down. I didn't know anything about MI. My friend has BP and told me that's what I had. So when the therapist asked me what I identified myself as I said BP.
She asked about mania. I didn't know what that really meant. I told her I had a constant over caffeinated feeling inside my veins and nervous feeling all day everyday. She said "yes that's mania". I said, everyday my entire life since I was a child I shake. Pdoc, said NO that's anxiety not mania. I've felt somber my whole life, just melancholy...nothing brings me joy. I don't go anywhere and I don't go spend money. It's just a persistent agitation, anger, hopeless, pessimistic, silent world where nothing brings me joy. When my mom died I didn't clean my house for years. I don't have interest in anything.
I see and read people hear and there seems to been something once in a while that brings everyone happiness. I keep wondering when if ever is that going to happen to me.
Any input would be greatly appreciated because I'm going to the doctor on Monday and the wellbutrin is making me angry. I don't know what to say to her. Help please someone.
thanks. :)

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

I guess what I'm trying to say is I see everybody with ups and downs or a stable acceptable. I feel so down I can't push myself to fake it to make it happen. I want so much to play but dread is always in that back. I smile and it's fake. I feel alone
Neither you, nor your therapist are qualified to diagnose bipolar.
You need to see a Psychiatrist .
There are several " levels " of bipolar....what you have described does not sound like mania, but rather dysphoric hypomania .
If you have more questions, Google search Bipolar, the Mayo Clinic Site has good information
I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time. I do agree with dd - seeing a psychiatrist will straighten out the diagnosis (at least in theory it will....)
Good luck on Monday! If you just say how you feel, that is usually helpful. Write it down that morning if you need to, or tomorrow even. Read it at the appt. Remember, you're not going to tell the doc anything they have never heard before.
It's simple. If you want to get help and stop feeling as you do you need the right treatment.
To get the right treatment you have to get a proper diagnosis. Being treated for a broken leg doesn't help if you have a broken finger. All you have is a worse situation that your leg is in plaster and your finger still hurts.
See a psychiatrist. They can diagnose you and work with you on getting the right treatment.
