Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I do have longer term procrastination issues like losing weight, but that is definitely on the back burner right now.
I saw Eat Pray Love today (Sunday) and I won't give anything away but to say that it hit me right between the eyes - literally, I was howling in the theatre at times when no-one else would ahve been crying. But I let it all out and when I got home I had a further HUGE cry. It was just so timely in my life - magic. I can't cry due to my meds - except when I see a movie that affects me like that - a very productive - non- moving house day!! lol
By the time we got to the hospital door, there was an orthopedic resident, and a nurse, trying to do an assessment and give drugs. It was pretty obvious I knew more than she did, since orthopedics don't use those drugs. She also gave us a stupid stomach med, which I had just looked up in the CPS, and found it to be a bad drug.
So the only good thing, is I whined about my RA which was flaring I put on my best controlled bipolar irritation and told them we were going to leave and hold them responsible for their incompetence.
It felt good to win, I confess. Just felt sorry for my broken, ill father, and my uncle, who was in a another part of the ER. Both had fallen and couldn't walk.
So I tried sleep - 5 different sleeping pills- all prescribed, and I am flying high on prednisone, I know. I got some leg cramps and went to stretch them, and the next thing you know - I've done a work out, and my flares are gone.I am going to do some digging on anti-virals and reduction of RA flares, as long as I am on-line. I listened to soft soothing music, all the tricks.
I'm thinking rest tomorrow?
So, any one else having trouble sleeping on this side of the world?
Hope your Dad feels better soon
They are going to move into a retirement home with full time staff care. That is the end of this game for them. Sigh. I wish I was well enough to take care of them.
And there appears to be a connection in the medical literal of anti-virals to RA. Trust me to find it. Well, I'm off to go rest. Nice talking to you boxrep, I haven't see you in a while.
Yesterday I sorted my winter clothes from my summer clothes though and had been putting that off so I did do something on my list.
OTOH the rallying cry of procastinators worldwide is "Just you wait."
