You ever feel like your stuck in a rut? I do. I feel like I can't get out of this vicious anxious, depressed, restless, agitated, suicidal phase that drives me nuts. I know the phases of bipolar and such, I just don't understand how one gets out of a phase. Sure time, time will heal all, but it's been going on months now. I try talking to my dr.'s but they refuse to change anything(I believe they are out of ideas). I go out, I get things off my mind, I work a LOT to get my mind off this vicious cycle. Therapist can't come up with anything and either can I. I'm just confused on what to do when I'm running so fast and slow at the same time that my mind just wants to explode and I just want to die. Anyone ever been this way before? Thanks a bunch!

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

Then I plunged into a deep depression for about 2 months, went way manic for about a week and a half and now feel cautiously "normal".
The rut is a terrible place. I'm so sorry that you are there. I did something completely different than what I have ever done to snap myself out of it. I had to force myself to have an adrenaline experience to get out of the depression that came after the rut. Maybe if I had done it sooner, I wouldn't have gone into the depression???
Have an experience that will be exhilarating to you and maybe it will help snap you out of it? Just a thought..
Have you tried cognitive or DBT?
Yeah, you could try something really different for a jolt. There are things I used to enjoy but was too depressed & distracted to want to do, but I push myself hard to do them again, sometimes they are just a distraction from my mood, but it's like a way to "trick my mind" into slowing down & relaxing. They say exercise, Sleep schedule, well you know what they say, but sometimes a bad funk will just run it's course out. Sounds like a "Mixed State." I hate those! - Symptoms from both sides of the spectrum.
