Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
It's just the knowledge that the option of oblivion is there. There's something empowering about it, when you know you have a choice. When you feel that oblivion is a necessity, that's the problem.
But when you can stand and stare at the Thames without intending to chuck yourself in, well, there's comfort in knowing you can simply stare self-destruction in the face and walk away.
That's how I see it, anyway.
I'm not saying it wasn't risky to go down there though... :)
I used to think about driving off an overpass here. I started to drive over that overpass every day. Each time I did, it scared the hell out of me. I stopped thinking about it after that. Hugs
I think it is an over powering feeling we have that what If we just end it. no more pain. But that is not you thinking it is the beast.
Even non-bipolars have these feelings according to my psychologist, but ours is stronger.
I suggest stay away. You never know what your mind set is.
I feel as if I could just close my eyes 4-ever s.times. But, 2sides.. is right,I've tried to turn "those places" into peaceful spots. If that makes sence.

But usually I get the cold adrenaline rush in my chest and it puts me off
But then I like that feeling of the adrnaline rush (this sounds like what you get), so i go back and put myself in the same situation again
i haven't found a solution apart from simply trying not to think about it.
i also used to come to a certain part of the motorwy that i used to think , now if i just put my foot down and go straight here , i'll be dead in a matter of minutes, i think it is i kinda control thing , it would give me strength if i could just try to resist it , my ex couldnt understand it in the slightest and it caused major problem for us ,thankfully its been a while since ive really thought bout suicide x
as to whether it wrong , id say it is risky but only you yourself truely know , have you got anyone close by that you can totally confide in that would maybe go with you , and maybe in time the urge will soften , i know for me everyone findin out just what went through my head at times really helped x
