Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
If you can, you might also try to listen to some quiet music and do some deep breathing. When you close your eyes and exhale, imagine the anxiety, fear and other negative emotions being expelled and new calming energy coming into the crown of your head. Envision a peaceful place that makes you happy and calm.
Healing begins with reaching out to those who can help you. The deep breathing is just to get you calm enough to think and take a first step. Definitely go back to your psychiatrist who diagnosed you and get your medications worked out as soon as possible.
If you can't wait, you should go to the nearest hospital and get stabilized. We're here for you and thinking about you. Will send a prayer for you.
I won't say it was easy I worked hard but it was well worth it..
Good luck
I have what you listed before plus physical ailment. I'm also older-40yrs old.
If I can start over with two kids and a horrible marriage to a man that has developed cancer and really bad osteoporosis, then you can too.
Find an interest and see if you can make money from it or let it be a source of enjoyment.
Oh I forgot. I looked back at my old life a few times and finally realized it wasn't so great. Where I am now definately sucks, but I am in a better position to make changes that will increase life enjoyment. When you hit rock bottom, the only place to go is up. I vote for going up tonight. I'll be down for a few days eventually, but then I'll be hopeful again. I have to start a new life that can hang on through my rollercoaster emotions and work on recovery.
Good luck,
T
