I was told to introduce myself. Thus, me starting this thread. I'm Ashley, Just turned 21. I've been told I've had depression my whole life. Not until I was sent to the hospital in 2007, at age 17, did they figure out I was bi-polar. From 2007-2008 I was in the hospital three times. After a suicide attempt in 2008, I have gotten much better. As bad as it was, it gave me a greater appreciation for my own life. I was so close to dying... I never realized I wanted to live so much. Even though the thoughts are always there, and I fear always will be, I find comfort in the fact that I never want to do that again. It was a very eye opening event.
Since that time I have been battling physical illness and chaotic house hold situations. But, I am starting to picking up the pieces of my soul one little fragment at a time. Trying to find a new me is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my 21 years on this earth. Some days it feels like too much and I start to lose hope. But there is always some small, beautiful thing that centers me again.
I've always lived my life trying to take care of others and trying to make everyone happy. I never thought making myself happy would be this confusing and hard. Recently, I broke up with my boyfriend of 10 months. This happened because I needed to work on myself, and I just plain fell out of love with him. Granted, he was a jerk, but that is besides the point. The point is, after breaking up with him... I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that I no longer like men. It's like GREAT, I have enough anxiety issues, now I have to go and figure out that I'm gay? What else can life throw my way? Haha. I've not yet fully come out, because I am terrified of the response from others.
Anyway, long story short...
I'm Ashley. I'm bi-polar. I have horrible anxiety issues. I take pills to make me sane. I'm gay. I love art. I love the earth. I love being outside. I'm too scared to leave the house most days. I love talking. I don't talk for fear of sounding stupid.
My life is one big contradiction.
Nice to meet you.
Haha.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
