Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Welcome! I am Chuggernaught and I have Bipolar 1. We also call Bipolar BP and people with it BPer's or Beepers... If you see a member and want to talk to them, then you can click on there profile and under there picture (avatar) is the option to hug, or Message them. Another pointer... If you click the button that says chat, it will open a chat window for you and the other person, HOWEVER.. the other person isn't necessarily obliged to chat with you. They will get a request on there end that they must accept FIRST. This request will not appear until they either refresh there current window, or they change windows.

Really appreciate the warm welcome! I am new to the BP board, as I have just been dx as BP, after years of being misdiagnosed with chronic unipolar depression. I am not new to DS however, as I have been a member of the depression group since May 2007.

Along with other newbies thanks for the post. I wasn't too sure on the etiquette here - do I introduce myself before adding replies or can I just jump right in..... i followed my normal unobtrusive approach.

While this post was good, it's by no means perfect. I ask that someone else on this board maybe glean what they can off of this one and make a better one.
