Welcome! I am Chuggernaught and I have Bipolar 1. We also call Bipolar BP and people with it BPer's or Beepers... If you see a member and want to talk to them, then you can click on there profile and under there picture (avatar) is the option to hug, or Message them. If you hug them, others can read what you wrote but not messages.

Chuggs is the founding member of the Orientation Committee, and also serves on the Follow-Up Commitee (he responded to my question, embedded in a discussion, about what to do when there's an emergency).

Another good place for DS orientation is the HELP button, up top on the right, next to "Hi, Whatsurname." There, you'll find Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Rules of the Road, Crisis Resources, and a way to contact Doug, who is the Uber Meister of the site, and your first friend.

I wish someone would have told me all this when I first joined. The hugs confused the heck out of me, I avoided them for like 4 months and then I decided they were A-ok! You are awesome Chugg getting this info out.

it works as a blog but you get the option to chat with induvidual members provided they want to chat. if so you'll see a green chat button on the top right of there screen. go ahead and go to my profile to test it if you'd like
