Weight loss after getting off of seroquel?

I'm finally getting off of seroquel. I've been on it for about three years. In those years I've gained about 60 lbs. It's been hell on my self esteem. I go to the gym and eat healthy and I can't drop a pound. I've struggled with anorexia for almost a decade now so the extra weight has caused some relapses. I'm really hoping the weight will come off a little easier. I can't really find much online about loosing weight after discontinuing seroquel. Has anybody experienced this?

i wish you luck with getting off seroquel. I have the same issues with weight and when i can get off the med causing the gain it usually just falls off. docs never believe me until it actually happens every time with no changes to diet or exercise! serequel was a bad one! i was glad to get off that!

I struggle with it as well.....sigh..... When you don't have your appetite triggered by taking Seroquel weight loss should be easier
It effects the same part of your brain that your appetite centre is in.... I keep thinking I should try a new med as well but it works so well for my BP that I'm hesitant to make the change.... I wish you well.... Let us know how it goes.... As long as you're on an appetite neutral med it should be much easier......xo
