has anyone else ever gained weight on their bipolar medication i'm on abilify and i use to be 135 but now i'm 158 and my body hasn't changed at all to reflect this gain

Bipolar meds are notorious for weight gain. I was 90 lbs pre medication and I am now up to 190. I'm not really bothered by the weight gain to be honest because my meds are working. Mom and I have been refreshing my wardrobe with clothes that fit and flatter my body which has made a world of difference. Once in a while I get asked when my baby is due because I carry a lot of weight in my belly. Im not now nor have I ever been expecting. Depending on my mood that day I may give a fake due date to save the other person from any embarrassment or jsut say no I'm fat. I 1oo% dont consider myself fat but I may say, no I just carry a lot of weight in my belly. Ive tried diets, excersice and changing meds but nothing has brought my wight down, Im content to weigh more if it means my moods are level.

Thanks you are right it shouldn't matter if I feel good and it's not harming me in anyway i just want to keep it under control.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
