Little about my story I take opioids because of severe pain I have been in most of my life. Anyways I have taken myself off all opioids because hey believe it or not people don’t want to be on pain meds. Well than I tried weed and what a disaster what it was supposed to do it did the exact opposite. Lots of my friends smoke and man do I wish it would benefit me but it doesn’t. So I went back on pain meds and have to put up with the double looks and the eye rolls and everything else every month when I get my prescription filled. I have tried everything under the sun. All I ask is to keep an open mind because you haven’t walked in anyone shoes. I realize I have got of subject I’m just in bad shape right now and I’m tired. Sorry for everything

@ oldc Lol I drived blazed for years and never had an issue. But right now the waiting lines are insanity. I smoked bud for years to maintain my undiagnosed bp and got 3 degrees and held a job promoted several times and my coworkers blaze!. I Moved lost my weed man. Benzos are the REAL DEVIL and alcohol. However, the lines for recreational or medical in the Chi is #insanity I smoked for the first time yesterday in like 7 years. I NEVER FELT SO CALM!!!!!!! Bud over rx for me. But I'm waiting for the hype to chill in Illinois.

It's a great thing for Chicago. It will literally take multi-millions out of the pockets of gangsters who held the market previously. It will also free up a lot of police, court, and jail hours. Much needed for that town and that town's homicide rate.

Another point...Mojo...you can't cure all of the Symptoms of BiPolar with weed, you still have to use other "real meds" to deal with those other symptoms, and good luck if the 2 substances don't crash in your system.

Ladybug, as for "driving blazed" with no problems, how do you know you had no problems, you were Blazed!! I'm sure the drivers around you didn't feel quite so at ease. I guess now we're advising people to get stoned and jump in the car and just live your best life.

Weed is like religion for people and they like to push it. It’s helpful for many people, people I know in my life too, but everything in moderation......

It still impairs judgment, and you can still lose your job and mess up relationships with it. It still masks problems and doesn’t necessarily solve your problems magically for you. It’s like the prohibition era here..... it’s something to watch, that’s for sure.

And this will not solve the problems on the streets.... it’s just another big business developing with greed at its core....and while it’s noble that there are advocates groups working to lessen the gap of economic disparity and create opportunities For ALL to cash in on this next big business craze, the Richie rich kids and adults buying this stuff will go to the Richer neighborhoods to buy it and don’t care a smidge about consciously supporting businesses.

I would NEVER stop any of my regular meds. I had a couple “friends” tell me to quit all my meds and just smoke weed. But I prefer to keep my meds and only smoke or eat the edibles when my anxiety is so high that Ativan doesn’t help. I’m afraid I’ll get drug tested at some point and lose my job or my ssdi. So I only do weed when I’ve exhausted my coping skills and my prns.
I don’t believe I have a problem or an addiction. I just use something that helps me which happens to be illegal in my state. I’m not pushing weed on anyone but if it helps and is used responsibly, I don’t see how it hurts.
Yes there are stoners who smoke weed all day and are always high and I see that as an issue. But I believe weed should be legalized everywhere
