Voices?

I started hearing voices at age 8 and tried to commit suicide for the first time at 13. I don't hear them when I am on a good med regimine...but otherwise they are there.

Have you heard voices? What age? Did they go away? Friendly or scary...tell me about it.

Mine is a scary voice that tells me bad things about myself, or to do harmful things.

Yes, I have heard voices (whispering more so) and have seen things since about 4-5 years old. Throughout my life I have almost accepted it happening. Increasingly worse with age and mania brings it out more so.

I see shadow people and bugs. I still wish the whisperers would let me know what they are saying. I hate being left out of a conversation. LOL!

The one thing I have once in a blue moon is thinking something is flying towards my head and it startles me.

Other than that I'm doing pretty well. ;)

Back when Baby #3 was an infant (and I started suspecting bipolar), the whine of the dishwasher sounded like her crying. Granted, the old dishwasher was a noisy sucker but I really thought I was coming unglued.

Looking back, it's no wonder I didn't get the help I needed. Having 3 babies in 3 years would drive anyone up the wall. So glad we've got that straightened out now. Sheesh .... if only people would listen to me!

I've had visual and auditory hallucinations, but abilify cured that thank God. My voices didn't tell me to harm myself though.

When I get overly stressed out, I see more shadow people, hear the phone ringing when it's not and will sometimes hear music too. Oh, and I hear my name being called.

I'm not taking an AP right now....have been off mine for over a month now and though the shadow people are more frequent, I can deal with it just fine....I just ignore them. Doesn't happen to awful much...:-)

    Happy Tuesday. I only have a few tasks today. I'm currently enjoying my coffee and checking social media and emails. It's gonna be almost 90 degrees today so I have to monitor the dogs outside activities  How's Tuesday looking for you?
