Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Lately, I've been on a loop.
Ever since I opened up my depression and losing friends because of it has made me more bipolar than ever. Every little thing seriously bothers me. From being alone 24/7 to wanting to just disappear because I can't stand the feeling of anger that builds up. I feel so unsatisfied with my life because I feel like I am never going to get out of it. I don't know how to make new friends, nor do I really want to - I am so traumatized by my experience with other ex-friendships that I do not want history to repeat itself.
I set my depression aside now, I don't deal with it - but I know it is there. I focus on myself but it is hard when little things just set me off and I can't control it. No one helps in my family, no one ever talks to me and when I do they never ever take me seriously and just always tell me that I get "angry" for whatever reason which does not help my situation.
How can I cope with this? How am I able to better myself when I can't control my emotions?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

You make it sound like you only recently acknowledged your condition. In my own strictly personals, a new awareness will look larger than life and quite distorted until I have given myself time to process the awareness. Not a good time for making decisions or interpreting reactions from the people around me.
Control emotions? Isn't that something like trying to control the ocean's tide? I let this be another job for simple awareness. I acknowledge and validate my feelings, then decide what to do with them. Most times, nothing is the best thing to do with my feelings. Like that ocean tide, they change continually.
But that is me. . .
Gentle support while you discover what ^it^ is for you. Welcome aboard.
Have you been diagnosed with bipolar sweetie?.... If you're struggling with depression and perhaps? bipolar symptoms the best thing that you can do for yourself if you don't already have one is to be referred to a psychiatrist
There is stability to be had sweetie and good help..... We have a treatable disorder.....
Big hug.....xo
I try to talk to myself like I would a friend. I try to rationalize my thoughts and feelings and try to calm down. Sometimes reminding myself that it's not real it's my disease can actually help.
I wanted to share I know what its like, the pain of losing friends (((((BIG HUG)))))) overwhelming, loss and betrayal and abandonment.....
Glad your here able to make new ones, get support by sharing and participating .........
In a nutshell, it doesn't sound like you're getting Treatment for the BiPolar Disorder. Do you have Psychiatrist, take meds, see a Therapist? This is not a disease that you can pretend doesn't exist and it will go away and not bother you. It is a disease that tends to grow bigger and more irritating and more intrusive on ones life when you ignore it. Seeing the right combination of Dr.'s and using the right combination of Treatments, i.e. medications and Therapy are the only way to make this monster come out from under the bed and go away. Its hard work, but you can get to a stable point and a quality of life that rivals any other person in the world.
I hope you find support here, friends here and take the advice of well meaning folks who battle this monster on a daily basis for years on end here.
