I know most all of you will be upset with this post. But I just want to express myself.
So the Tucson shooter has mental issues... Yet another tragedy. I am sure it will come out that the guy fell thru the cracks of the mental health system as did the guy from VA Tech a few years back.
For me, I know I am VERY capable of doing this type of thing, it would be easy for me in my manic state coupled with my BP rage. So knowing this, I know I MUST stay on my meds to avoid mania and NEVER own a gun. This is why I cannot work. I fear attacking my fellow workers. I have come close many times to attacking co-workers. My sister-in-law walks with a permanent limp after I attacked her years ago.
Should the mentally ill be allowed to own guns? I say no based on my condition, even though I know I have a right to own one. Even people with sound minds are not responsible with guns. How could I ever be???
I just hope that everyone here at DS do all that is necessary to maintain their mental state.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. But guns do make it a hell of a lot easier. It is our civil right to own a firearm but then again how many civil rights has the government trampled in the past decade anyway?
