Hey everyone... My pdoc recently prescribed Trileptal (Oxcarbazepine). I'm afraid to start it because of the side effect of hyponatremia. I know I need a third med to take with my Lamictal and Ativan. I had a horrible panic attack last night.

Any advice?

I've never been on it however I would work with your doctor.. If you look up any medication there are a ton of potential side effects many that don't affect us off
If you aren't going to take it I would again let your doc know so that you can try something else... Big hug for you..x

i take it. been a life send for me. i still get episodes but its not as long/severe

I got hyponatremia from it. I had a seizure and was in the medical ward for five days. It's pretty rare though.

I was on Trileptal.

I felt AMAZING !
I was happy, I was singing, I was busy

Went to my Pdoc, he told me I was experiencing a rare side effect

A type of drug induced euphoria....often followed by a huge crash.

So he took me off the Trileptal.....I still miss that Happy Happy feeling

yea. that. but not the crash part. mostly it just makes my depression not last as long

Never heard of it. I know that Lamictal and Ativan work good along with Seraquel.
