I'm on 200mg. It sounds like your dosage is too high and it causing major anxiety. I take 200mg Trazadone, 2mg Ativan, 1mg Klonopin, and 20mg Ambien before I go to bed. You should ask your doc to reduce your Trazadone and put you on other sleepers along with the Trazadone.

I hated the stuff! made my sinuses stop up ever night, made my mouth so dry I almost had to pry my tongue off of the roof of my mouth every morning and made me feel gooffifyed all the next morning

I had a rather weird reaction to Trazadone; therefore, I can't take it anymore. As a man, you can experience prolonged erections that last for hours. That seems like a bonus, but trust me it isn't. Take care. Jim

Charynath, you may be right. I've been on 300 mg for a long time now & doing find. The dose was just increased to 350 4 days ago, & that's when I noticed the problems. I never thought of it as anxiety, but that is what it feels like. Thank you.

MY BOOD PRESSURE GOT REAL HIGH AND I WAS TAKEN OFF OF IT

I have been on traz for a long time. Somewhere around 10 years. I have gone up to 500/600 mgs. Now I am down to 250mgs. I have learned that if I take 300mgs or more, I am out like a light. Which then causes me to snore very loudly, I don't move in bed like normal nights.

Then my wife leaves the room. If I take 200 mgs I wake up to often and have insomniac nights. So I take 250mgs, thank you pill cutters.

If I take a high does I also get depressed more and for longer times. But then I have taken it for a longtime.

I have never heard of it causing anxiety experiences. But then what do I know.

I'm on 50 and it helps me sleep. I do feel "high" about 30 min. after taking them. In fact, I am now!!!!
I like them...think they work great.

It made me suicidal. I really have never been that way. I mean I have thought about death and wanting to die during my depressions, but Trazadone made me start putting a plan into place. I stopped it quick. It scared me.

Sounds like no two people have the same experience. Right now, my muscles are so tight through my whole body, I decided to try taking a 2 mg ativan. Also, I'm going to cut back from 350 to 300 mg tonight, & see if that helps. I can't stand feeling this way. The increase was to help with mild depression, but it's not worth it. Thanks for all the input.

Jungl after what you say about Trazodone giving you anxiety I wonder what is going on with me.

My anxiety has been off of the charts. I have had panic attacks and can't handle any social interaction. Including places that I have been to in the past a lot, like AA.

The last 3 months have been awful so my pdoc yesterday gave me Xanax. I am very leary of the medication because of the addiction possiblity. I have kind of an addictive personality for some unknown reason.

Thanks for the information. I am going to try a withdrawal from Trazodone test. Just to kill my curiosity.

Good luck, SimonCross. It doesn't feel like "normal anxiety",just tightness of all muscles. I have no fear or panic. I have cut back to 300 mg the past 2 nights, & am starting to feel better. Xanax is definitely addictive, especially for us addictive personality types.

The last thing I want to happen is get hooked on Xanax. I will try it for a little while then at my next appointment in 10 days I will discuss it with the O'Mighty One.

I had a bad day today so my anxiety is going off the charts. Can't handle life at all right now.
