Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

The topic of Topics;
We're each other's peers and not pdocs or therapists etc. None of us are any better than anyone else. Everyone here ought to post any topic relating to their struggles or accomplishments in regards to being a beeper and feel comfortable that they have an equal right to do so. Yes, there are rules of common courtesy etc. CLs are expected to step in when it's out of hand of course.
The topic of Posting;
We can't expect everyone to post a response to every topic we write and we need to relax and only post what we feel comfortable with or have time and energy for. We're all on different levels and can only relate to those topics which we have the stability to deal with. If a topic stresses you out simply do not post to it. There's something to be said for saying nothing at all. Somedays we have more energy than others and can address more topics. It ought not be about cliques only posting to those in their little group of friends but an open and free discussion board. In other words this isn't high school nor a war zone.
The topic of Chatting;
I understand that people chat with each other and that peers need peer support in real time chat. Sometimes it's better than simply posting your needs in an open discussion. What I was saying in the first paragraph was that we need to have common courtesy. Yes, we're needy and sometimes desperate for feedback... but, we have to keep in mind that the other person has needs as well. They may be very despressed or filled with anxiety and all that comes with being a beeper and may not be able to have the answers or the level of attention that we need at that time. When in such a situation isn't it best to contact a help line.. crisis line... etc? We shouldn't put the burden on our peers to solve our problems. There are conflicts of duty, as in our first duty is to our offline family and homelife. Conflicts of stability... sometimes we are more in need than the person we're trying to help. So many circumstances surround chatting in real time. We have to remember to respect each other.
Thank you for listening to my opinions.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Thanks sweetheart,
Christa
