My brain is on total overload. I already deal with.Bipolar and anxiety. And with all of the constant horror stories of Ebola, Isis, the latest terrorist attacks in NYC and Canada. It is getting to me. It's not like I am sitting here going over and over something that happened last week. It is becoming DAILY horrific news..it is too much. I am thinking I maybe need to go off the grid news-wise, but then I think I shouldn't because I need to be informed....but then I think "informed at what cost....my sanity"??? I am trying to keep my eyes firmly on The Lord. But I keep letting these horrible things chip away at my faith. Is anyone else having this experience???

I think your right to take a break from watching the news. You are driving you self crazy and there's not a darn thing you can do about it.
Lord has a plan your part is to keep the faith.

I know what you mean. I drive myself to extra stress and depression not with the news but with family issues. I just cant stop obsessing over them. Hope you feel better.

the thing with the news is it only reports on the "bad" things happening in the world... never the "good" things....it's unbalanced and not impartial.. try to keep that in mind if you feel compelled to watch it.... maybe take a break if it is making you ill

This morning on the news, there was a long segment on volunteering. About 1/3 of the American public volunteered this last year - I think that's a really impressive number. Then the news went on to less nice things. But the newscaster wrapped up the segment by reminding everyone about the GOOD people in the world. I thought that was nice.

Stop watching the news or even reading newspapers for that matter. It got so bad with me that I ended up not watching the news for several years.
Remember, they make it sound more scary than it is. For the ratings. Watch what words they use....telltale signs.

I hit the highlights of the news online and then don't bother it again all day and I don't turn the tv on news stations bc they repeat the same things over and over and a lot of it is just fear-mongering.
