Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I gotta say, Wellbutrin was not the drug for me. It increased my already rapid cycling. Helped the depression but worsened the mixed episodes. I took Lithium until I "felt so good that surely I didn't REALLY need meds", then the inevitable happened. I just started back on Lithium because I didn't respond to my pdoc's email in time to get Abilify started. I take Celexa and Lyrica PRN and Xanax at night for sleep. I can relate to the need to make the right decision.
Do you have any suggestions about meds? I have thought about Seroquel. I have taken many others.
