Does the horrible condition of this country depress the hell out of you? By condition I mean the economy, goverment, education, etc. It has me depressed.
BUT what should be our level of expectations/ standard when we live in a country blessed with resources and democracy? American Idol, Football, and Basketball, etc. are glorified and few make and many spent energy on superficial pipe dreams. Where are the celebration parties for scientists, the teachers, the nurses, doctors, etc.?
The question is - are we prepared to BE great?
