Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

It is the 3rd day of being very depressed. I don't know what triggered this episode. It is so frustrating because it can happen at any time.
The thing that I can't help is the crying. I feel I need to cry it out. My son, who has Asperger's, gets very upset when I do. I try not to cry in front of him. I try to explain it to him but it just makes him angrier.
I love my son very much so I don't want to upset him. I have suicidal thoughts but I don't want to hurt my son by doing that. I want to be a good mom to him but when I'm like this it's difficult.
The suffering I feel is so painful.

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

Have you contacted your doctor? Maybe a med tweak would help?
Right now, it sounds like your son is a lifeline for you. And that is not a bad thing. I would not be afraid to tell him what is happening. Autism is not being stupid, and he may be sensing things and worried. Explain to him simply, in a non-threatening way what is happening. Ask him to help you. everyone likes to feel wanted. How old is he? (Maybe I am being age inappropriate?)
I have a grandson with autism, so I have done a lot of research. Strangely, he is the most sensitive person I know, and he is only 5! He knows just what to do to make me feel better. Maybe give your son that opportunity? Or not, you know him best. Just something to think about.
I don't think I have a medication problem. I get stressed very easily. I have had a pretty hard life and it has taken its toll on me.
I will usually let depression go on for a couple of weeks and if it doesn't start to lift I see my doc...… xo
Do what ever you need to take care of yourself...depression does ease up but never when we want it too...
praying for things to get better...
