I hear it can be positive for several things including BP. I'm too much of a chicken to use it because it's illegal, but if it becomes legal I'll give it a try.

Pot is as addicting as alcohol. I am a recovering addict and alcoholic and was as strung out on pot as I was with speed, cocaine, and heroin.

Yep... Thats why I wont promote it or tell anyone to start using it.

Did it for years, made me feel retarded. Once I stopped drinking, I continued smoking pot...then it compounded my BP symptoms making me paranoid and depressing me. Have not done it for 2 years.
Should not be illegal.

However, I can't smoke anymore because of the lamictal--makes me faint. Has anyone else ever had this (lamictal + pot = faint?)

I love the stuff, but try to do it very sparingly.

When it comes to mental illness and using it to help with a disorder (not staying stoned all day long)...I believe it is the individuals choice.

I'm treading on thin ice here though, because I am a substance abuse therapist.

its makes you stupid. but if your already stupid, hey, no harm done. lol i was a big pot head in my teens adn 20's then i sorta outgrew it when i only liked doing it alone. now its been several years, if it come down to be getting on disablility cuz i'm too fucked up to work, i'll get some hydroponics going for sure. jsut for myself. never sell it and nobody needs to know about it but me. :D

Personally I think that it should be decriminalized because I've seen the positive effects of it on people with mental illness. I get a bit frustrated seeing people put on mind-numbing psychotropics, four or five at a time, yet a joint works better with far fewer side-effects.

Of course, there are abusers too. But I've seen FAR more lives ruined by alcohol which is not only legal but very very socially acceptable.

I agree, when used properly, marijuana has many medinial perpocess. I don't feel like listing them all, but...a last I don't think we'll see it decriminalized or leagalize on a federal level for medical use.

i find weed is a dangerous drug because its not a party drug so you can potentially be smoking pot all the time as opposed to booze where most people only use at n ight when they go out. every other drug enhances partying or social interaction, pot enhances chilling, eating, and sitting on comfortable couches lol ex is my drug of choice, tought me a lot about myself, miss that too :(
