I moved once (to where I currently am) 12 years ago. It still does not feel like home. I miss my home.

Ya know every time I moved I felt the same. I moved to quite a few states the farthest from CA was MA. Until this last move here in CA near Yosemite, lived here for 5 years and know so many people that I love it and it finally feels like home. Southern CA was awful too you never saw the same person twice! I guess growing roots can make it feel like home it does for me. Hope it helps. ;)

really, im the opposite chugg i cant stay in one place for too long...I only feel at home in my car if that makes sense. I do have a home, i just never get that feeling.

Well that's just it. I don't get the feeling of home anywhere I go. Like as specific as I can get is Earth..

Home is where you hang your hat. Chugg once you get settled, make friends, possible girlfriend and meet people in the area maybe then you can at least feel settled. I am the kind I can live anywhere, I have never felt like where I am was home except when I was little. Maybe that comes after we make a conscious decision to stay in a particular place. It has happened where I am now because of roots, connections, friends and my kids. It was the first time.

When I look at your pics 2kid, I feel I'm looking in a window to a life I won't have...

I have moved alot over the years. Being at boarding school, University, 10 houses and now to another country. It is so hard to settle and put down roots. I miss my UK friends and not being able to speak German very well makes me quite isolated here.

I've lived in my little house for way over 20 years....and it's still not quite MY HOME.
The house is ok,kinda cute really...but I live in a wretched Meth neighborhood.Today,the screaming and fighting was really getting to me..police came out 3 times.On the 3rd visit,they finally hauled one of the screamers off.....this environment ,is soooo not good for me.
But I rent from my sister..very LOW rent.
And she's the only family I have around here....so I stay.....
My REAL HOME ,is Santa Cruz,a small coastal town ,on the Monterey Bay.My happiest years were there by the sea.That's where my heart and soul are

Chugg, I don't see any reason why not. You are VERY good looking, you have drive, a bigger heart than the biggest teddy bear and so insightful it is scary. If you do not have the life you want it is because you choose not to have it. My suggestion never marry Bipolar you need some strength behind you someone to carry you thru the hard times and she will come if you want her to. Our minds can make things happen or not happen and you of all people know this. Believe me you have what it takes, you got knocked down a few times but don't let it break you you. You have strength in you for 4 people and you are a survivor. Make it happen. I will be so proud to watch you as you will be a winner!

This might sound pretentous, but I feel I'm given a gift/curse of a greatness someday, but that the price will be I'm not allowed the happiness mediocrity gives you.

Chugg it is all in what you believe, sometime you think too deep. You can if you think you can!!! Don't limit yourself by thought, you are very well capable!

I can relate. I'm a military brat which meant moving around when I was growing up. In my early years out of the house I kept that moving around thing......picked up and moved from state to state every couple of years. It then turned to moving over and over due to my dual illness and undiagnosed.

My home didn't really start until this year. I don't have a "house" anymore, I have a home.

2kid... I think Because I feel, if that makes sense. I am analyticaland emotional at the same time. I also know I don't like how domineering I can be to a significant other. SO I had a Vasectomy done to prevent me from giving a SINGLE person in this world BP and I refuse to move in with another woman until I can calm the rage that courses through me. I was hit with testoserone at an early age. Most men it turns in rage aholics and with having BP it certainly doesn't help, But I also grew up surrounded by female influence and almost entirely devoid of Males.. so it gave me behavioral personality traits of a female and the hormonal issues of a excessively testoserone driven male... cool huh? :)

Chugg, I don't believe in one right person for us, like a soul mate or end all too many divorces to say otherwise. However, there is someone for you when you are ready. I hear your challenges from life but we are all given a deck of cards, it is all in how you deal the hand you have. We all have poo poo. People can change, and conquer the past I have seen it happen. All things are possible if you just believe they are. I am emotional and analytical just like you, you will need a sounding board you can trust for that. Sometime there are things in our lives trash pick up I call it duties we need to tend to prior or desires because it takes up all the space and leaves no room for the stuff we want. Tend to your garden first and I believe that everything will come in time.

I relate. I've moved around so much that I don't bother to truly make friends. I know just about everyone in town because of my job but no true friends. Hurts too much leaving. Plus all the yada yada about stating in touch.
Where I am is home and that's all there is to it.
