Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Psychologists would rather be seen on TV.
That says it all
Pyschiatrist are actually medical doctors that specialize in physchology. That's why they can prescribe medication. Pyschologist and/or therapist are not. That's the difference.
I have both because my pdoc just does my medication. We talk of course but the main focus is the medication and stabalization. I love my pdoc. He's the best. I would adopt him and bring him home with me if I could.
My therapist is wonderful too. Listens well, asks the right questions, etc. They both seem to have the teamwork attitude and instead of telling me what to do we discuss it and decide together. I respond MUCH better to that.
I hope everyone finds the combination that is best for them.
I think whoever sleeps first would be the loser.
I'm like Strum, confused w/2 of this threads goin. :\, but at least there are different points of view on each one.
