I've noticed that there are two kinds of BPs...the ones who see suiicide as an option and the ones who don't. I find it interesting because someone I know who is BP is the later type, and they say the same thing as normal people "Stop your pity party.." And I can't seem to get it in there head that it's not a pity thing, it's checking down the options to my problems. I'm not afraid of pain and I'm not afraid of death. In fact I am quite curious about it, it's just that I'm also quite curious about alot of things in life too.. lol so does anyone know one of these and have you ever wrote out "the note" just to have in case?

i have never written a note..i get waves of feeling suicidal, at the end of the day my kids win hands up..and when i get these suicidal urges i just cut but not deep they soon go after that.

Chugger, I dont think anyone, with bipolar disorder or not, can understand what it feels like to be suicidal unless they have been there themselves. In my younger years, I thought about suicide many times, but never actually attempted it. Every time I wrote a note to my parents and brothers and sister, I couldnt do it. Something always stopped me. I guess it was "hope". The closest I did come was the last time, but after writing the notes to my children and husband, the prayers of my son at school and the thought of the anguish I would put them through, stopped me. Now, I can honestly say, Love and respect for myself and the life I have been blessed with stops me from even thinking of it. Now, when I am pushed to the brink of the edge, I am determined to find the solution and hold true the value of my life. I am not afraid of death either but too many times I have been reminded of what I would have missed if I had succeeded one of those times. All of us need something to hold on to. I have "hope" always that the moment will change and my life will be of value in a way I have not yet realized at that moment in time. Hugs

I have NO NOTE.

I also told the t-doc if I were to try again no one would know or even see that there is a problem.

Suicide makes me euphoric and I have been found three times can't believe I am still here and TRUST ME NEVER A NOTE.

I guess that is why it makes it more serious an issue for me.

Odd you should curious this really "famous" seattle shrink when asked why I could kill myself he said it was because I was serious. I am going to email you somethinmg

I misunderstood your questioon. No email.
I have my note typed out next to my will/ I have 6 good friends and I wrote eeach of them letters about their strengths and how much they did for me. Remember the guy on TV that did that?
