sorry sweetie. that is misery. I've had mood swings, pain & even vomiting with my monthly cycle. Have you ever talked to your gynecologist about it? Hormone therapy has helped me so much through the years.

I go through the same shit every month. I am getting a referral to an OB/GYN to remove my plumbing. I am too old and no one wants to have kids with this beeper cougar anyways.

I don't throw up anymore and the cramps aren't as bad.
What a doctor did when I was in my early 20's, was put me on birth control pills. This helped. I went of the pills when I was around 25 to try for a baby. My symptoms vary from period to period.

Had the periods from hell in high school. Then in early college, no periods. I went for a whole year with zero period.

Hormones tested and were abnormal. I was put on the Pill and told it would be next to impossible to have kids without interference. Well, I took myself off the Pill during an abstinence phase. One problem. A meaningless, drunken one night stand that left me pregnant.

I truly thought I couldn't get preggo. Found out the hard way. Did the hard thing. And now I don't want kids. I don't think my mental issues could handle it. My periods, even when I was off the Pill post abortion, had become regular. Now I am on the Pill and I love it. No side effects and no babies. YAY.

Bc of all my meds, pills just added another variable to my treatment. I got an IUD and it has been perfect. My period for nearly 5 years now and no hormonal related moodiness. My pdoc sent me to a hormone specialist, the specialty which I can't remember at the moment and they recommended it.

U might maybe opt to have lab test done.
hopefully it is not an illness & there is some form of therapy &/or meds that will be beneficial w/o surgery.

((((JennS)))) i can totally relate. My "aunt flow" before she arrives sends letters of grief on my mood patterns...its like they are heightened. I was aware of this when i started mood tracking on a mood chart. I can go from depressed to a RAGING bitch n wheels that make heads roll. Its not fun. Yet i do know it passes when I show signs of the physical signs of "aunt flow's" arrival. :p OH for the love of being a woman with BP.

i get terrible headaches even worse than usual and am a crazed lunatic. most of my psychotic episodes correlate to pms. i was put on progesterone but went off. he said i actually needed estrogen but i can't take it due to the fact my sister had breast cancer premenopause. my periods only last 2 1/2 days which is a godsend but the 2 weeks before are holy hell. my mom read somewhere that some women get migraines and extreme headaches the week before, the week during and the week after, which is me all the way. i only have one headache free week a month. my neurologist put me on 100mg topomax and that has helped me from getting the mindblowing ones but i would like him to up it. i will talk to my gp about it when i see her, i think next week or the week after. i will also bring up yanking out my ovaries since they seem to be the root of all evil. i wonder if they would have to take my uterus and cervix too.
