If you are those 2 you should be having your liver enzymes checked every 6 months.
Improving liver function would involve removing fats from your diet and anything else that affects your blood.
Lots of water is for your kidneys.

It says lab tests may be done. But then again it says that for most meds.
When I was on depakote I had blood drawn every 6 months for BUN,Cratanine, etc...
When I switched to lamictal I stopped.
I take ativan, which is also a benzo, and don't worry about it. Though my Pdoc generally has labwork done once a year.
Mostly thyroid level and glucose since I am taking seroquel.
