Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Thank you all that replied to my ED post. I brought up my trouble with food in a Zoom support group I attend and was able to get some additional support there. Someone also said there that lack of appetite can be a symptom of hypomania as well and sure enough after some of my hardest days struggling to eat I do seem to spiral into hypomanic symptoms (racing thoughts, trouble sleeping, restlessness especially). I think my eating problems are probably more of a BP thing than an ED.
I was struggling to get out of bed this morning and my body feels weak and heavy but I managed to get up. My husband gave me some clothes to get dressed and I went to the doctors office to get my new patient paperwork. We got Subway and came home. I hate the days depression leaves me physically feeling weighted down.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

You are reaching out for support and seeking out answers in order to live the best life you can.
Very glad to read that you got out today and are moving forward to find if there are medical reasons!
Watch your thinking...please focus on what you Are Doing.
I've already had enough bloodwork done recently to know that there isn't any physical causes to this episode, but I've been wanting to switch providers for a long time because mine feels very invalidating.
It's immensely frustrating that she's not doing the things her therapist and others recommend, there seems to be a path to getting better than she's not taking. Her friends are frustrated just as I am.
