So this makes me want to ask a question. I know I have difficulties empathizing with people unless I have experienced the same thing. For example, I flat out cannot understand people who beat up on helpless people. Why do they do it? Surely it makes sense to them or they wouldn't be doing it. So ... if someone lies about their mood or fakes suicide, it must make sense to them. It doesn't make sense to me, but there you go.
Is it a manifestation of bipolar to be unable to empathixe?
