Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

When you wake up in the morning, spending a little time in bed meditating and going over a positive mantra in your head can give you a positive start to the day. I know it may sound cheesy, but what you put into your mind, you get back out of your mind. A mantra can be as simple as, "I feel well, I'm going to have a good day, my outlook will be positive, I'll deal with what comes as it comes." It doesn't have to be complicated. Just sit in bed, breathe deep and slow, relax, and repeat it to yourself in your head over and over for a few minutes.
Taking a Supplement or Vitamin with magnesium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Ginseng, Turmeric, CoQ10 and Ashwaganda help boost mood, increase energy and positivity and may increase Dopamine levels (your feel good hormone). Green Tea is also good for these things, so having a cup in the morning may help.
Exercise and Fresh Air do help when you are stressed, depressed or going through metabolic and pharmacologic changes. Nothing drastic, just a 20 minute walk in the morning before school or when you get home in the early evening.
If you feel calmer when your with your Fiance, see if there's a time you can set each day, perhaps in the evening where you can just sit on the couch and cuddle with him, no need to talk, just the calming effect of having someone you know that loves and cares for you hold you for a bit. Say 10 - 15 minutes, so neither of you feel like your wasting time you don't have.
Before you go to bed at night, if possible take a really hot relaxing bath or shower. Let the stress and worry of the day literally wash of you. It always feels better to get in bed clean and warm. Set a bedtime brain de-clutter routine, kind of the opposite of the morning wake up routine. During your bath or after perhaps have a cup of chamomile tea to help you relax. Get in bed, lay back, close your eyes, slow your breathing, and picture all the stress, worry, frustrations and crap of the day as papers, picture a paper shredder in your mind and send all that emotional clutter through the shredder. Clear your mind, calm your thoughts, have a pre-sleep mantra, i.e. I'm calm, my mind is clear, my body is tired, I'm ready for sleep. You can literally say that to yourself until you fall asleep.
On Youtube there are 3 pretty good channels that have sleep sounds to play during the night while you sleep. You play them on low sound and certain Hz frequencies help the brain in different ways. The channels are "Soothing Relaxations" "Nu Meditation Music" and "Healing Sleep Tones". Generally 432Mhz and 528Mhz are the better to listen to for sleeping at a low volume, so its kind of just above background noise.
Not all of this works for everyone, but they are proven methods, so if you try some of them, you might find that they help you out. A big part of managing BiPolar is learning Coping Skills and various Therapies to use with your Medications.
Take care,
