Stressed again. Need prayers.

I did something I have been dreading for weeks.  I was crying through the process but I got it done.


It all started when sales rep for an Internet service came to my door telling me I could get service for free.  I was skeptical but I checked the company out and they are legit.  I went ahead and switched to there service.  This started a series of nightmares of getting my old service cancelled, etc.


To get the free service, I have to apply on a different sight.


What a mess.  I feel stupid for getting myself into this.  I have straightened out for the most part.  I just feel so foolish.


I know I'm not the only one to have an experience that made them feel like this.  If some of you would like to share stories it would help me feel less alone.

I'm so sorry you're feeling stressed, Jennifer. These days, I don't even open my door if I don't recognize the person. I once bought a magazine subscription from a "salesman" to "help him pay for college." Needless to say, I never received the magazine. Also, my credit card has been hacked 3 times in 2 years...very stressful experiences trying to get everything straightened out. I've set up a lot of security measures that I hope will prevent it from happening again. I hope that your free internet is now up and running. Sending prayers and peace.

I'm sorry too, Jenniferswe - it can be challenging to change any kind of service these days.

Maybe it's because I'm older now, but I've started to dread having to update things, and change things out, etc. It's just complicated.

I saw an ad on Facebook this spring for these adorable outfits $4.99 each. I ordered five and never heard from the company again. I list $20. If it seems too good to be true it probably is. The order confirmation somehow disappeared from my inbox. No email address or phone number was given.

Thank you guys. I'm going get one of those no solicitor's signs for my door. I had one years ago. It helped some but some would ignore it.

    When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now  almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...
