This morning Arlene, the caregiver from hell, woke me up to take my meds and said "Would you pop in the shower, you smell sweaty".It really blew my mind because I hadn't done anything to get sweaty, and I couldn't smell myself. So I obediently hopped in the shower. Now I've got a real complex about how I smell and if I have body odor.I'm tired but my adrenaline is still running (since 8 this morning) and I'm afraid to go to bed because I might get sweaty and smell bad again.I'm real upset and the only people I can tell are you guys.Btw I did take a shower, late yesterday afternoon.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Loddy, I have hot flashes during the night AND night terrors make me wake up covered with sweat and shivering. Double whammy.
Hot flash sweat is what I call "clean" sweat. It's just like water pouring out of my body.
Nervous or frightened sweat - Let's just say I don't call it "clean" sweat. It's not like water but more oily and it honestly has a different odor. TMI - TMI - TMI. Why is this so embarrassing for us?
What I'm trying to say is, with a hot flash I can dry myself with a paper towel and be good to go.
Nervous sweat can not be wiped away. It takes a full shower and a shampoo because my hair can have that nervous sweaty smell.
The caregiver? Some people are not equipped to handle delicate subjects with tact. Maybe she is like the bull in the china shop.
Don't get brought down by that bitch. She might be having a really bad day....or week...or maybe she's just a pain in the butt type person.
