I'm against domestic violence no matter which gender initiates it. I was once arrested because my wife at the time punched me in the face with her closed fist. I didn't hit her back and that marriage was over. Please get over the idea that males are responsible for all domestic violence.

thank you for your message.Brad was verbally abusive to me towards the end and it still hurts when i think of what he told me and how he said it.I will never forget Brad..but he was a controller and he just didnt know how to love.

Unless you cannot flee due to threat to self or kids..more women/men should leave such relationships, stop making excuses for abusers. Contact police.

through support, through our combined strength, through education to understand it better, we can get out. and even those wounds will always be there, we can in time triumph over them.

having always been angry and disgusted at my mother for staying, i have only recenlty realized the mind games of it, the being emotionally beat down into lack of action. however i feel that she should of protected her children. that her motherly instincts should of outweighed. but she does not have those instincts

Lou, I don't think SB was talking about that kind of violence. But if she was you're right, for certain things one time is too many times.

I understand she's talking about what is today is called the dysfunctional couples. This hate/love relations that erodes both persons. I wish it would e as simple as pass a beautiful message to end with it, but at least can help on become aware of it.
